As usual, The Shy Poet touched my soul with her words. Some of the poems seemed a little out of place in this particular book, but I can't say anything negative about the poems themselves. I can either relate on such a personal level that it shocks me to realize that I felt a certain way without be conscious of it, or I know someone who can. I share her poetry on Facebook with my friends and family all the time (publicly and privately) and I've gotten nothing but positive responses. I can't wait to read her next book of poetry!! It's been about 20 years since I've actually sat down and read a book. Her words touched my soul and have made me re-appreciate the written word. She has inspired me not only to read again, but also to write. Powerful is not a strong enough word to describe the feeling I had as I read it, and I read it twice. Thank-you Chasity Conley for reminding of the power of the written word.
Beautifully written as usual. Chasity is a talented author who's poetry speaks to your soul. I would definitely recommend this book.

Chasity pours her heart and soul into her poems. You can see that she really feels what she writes, and the poems seem genuine.
I have been a long time fan of Chasity's ever since I stumbled upon her while going through Facebook. Her poetry is at times, dark, but it's the darkness that really connected me with her. She writes with a true, raw emotion that can reach anyone. The world can often times be lonely and in those times it's nice to have someone who is able to connect with you; letting you know there is someone out there who gets it. It's therapeutic, knowing that we share so many struggles. She takes those struggles and is able to beautifully connect with her readers.
I have really, really enjoyed reading the poetry in this beautiful book!! There has not been one poem that I have read that has not touched me. I absolutely love how you can feel the emotion that Ms. Conley was feeling while writing her poems. I can not wait for her next book!! As always, this book was another home run for Chasity Conley!
Miss Chasity captures the emotions of many souls within her words. I enjoy every publication I've gotten my hands on that she has written. There is something to be said for connecting on a personal level while maintaining a level head. I relate to many of her pieces and her literature is truly a work of art.
